Agarwood Chips (Oudh)
Often known as Oudh, Aloeswood, Aquilaria Crassna, or Gaharu, Agarwood chips are among nature’s rarest and most treasured aromatic wonders. These dark, resin-rich fragments are not just pieces of wood—they are living relics of scent and spirit, revered for their deep, mystical aroma that has enchanted civilizations for centuries. Burned in temples, cherished in royal courts, and blended into the world’s finest perfumes, agarwood chips hold a sacred place in spiritual rituals, cultural traditions, and healing practices. Each chip is a whisper from the ancient forest—an alchemical gift of time, nature, and transformation.
What makes agarwood truly exceptional is its origin story. It is not just harvested wood—it is a sacred reaction of nature. When specific tree species—primarily from the Aquilaria and Gyrinops genera—undergo natural stress, such as fungal infection or physical injury, they produce a protective resin. Over years, this resin slowly permeates the heartwood, creating an incredibly rich, aromatic core. It is this resin-infused wood that is carefully extracted, cleaned, and cut into chips.
Sustainability and CITES Protection
Due to overharvesting and growing international demand, wild Aquilaria and Gyrinops species have faced significant ecological pressure. Recognizing this, both genera are now listed under the CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) since 2014. This listing ensures that international trade in agarwood is regulated and monitored to prevent ecological harm and extinction.
At Fluid FZC LLC, we proudly adhere to CITES regulations and work only with licensed, ethical suppliers who engage in sustainable cultivation, controlled harvesting, and responsible sourcing. Our commitment ensures that every chip we trade is legal, traceable, and respectful of nature’s balance.

A Timeless Commodity with Global Significance
For over a thousand years, agarwood has been traded across Asia, the Arabian Peninsula, and parts of Africa. From the incense-filled temples of India and Japan to the perfumed majlis of Arabia, agarwood chips have symbolized spiritual elevation, inner peace, and refined taste.
They are burned during sacred ceremonies to purify spaces, uplift the spirit, and create an atmosphere of reverence and tranquility. In many Eastern cultures, especially across the Arabian Peninsula and Asia, agarwood chips are used to anoint guests—a timeless gesture of warmth, respect, and honor in traditional hospitality. Beyond their fragrance, they hold symbolic meaning and are often treasured as heirlooms, passed down through generations as tokens of legacy and cultural pride. Today, the allure of premium agarwood continues to flourish, with strong demand in regions such as the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Japan, China, and across Southeast Asia, where oud remains an integral part of religious rituals, luxury lifestyles, and spiritual expression.
